Signed by the artist below the image: “Rodolphus Braemi. Pictor
Tigurinus“ (= Rudolph Braemi, painter from Zurich).
Verso: caricatured oval-shaped self(?)-portrait of the artist with
palette, graphite.
The crest belongs to the Koch family from Frauenfeld, which died out
in 1609/1610. Its last living member was Laurenz known as Kouff.
