Graphite, 115 x 190 mm, verso a handwritten monogram, most likely by a
former owner, legible »Ar«
This typical example of early German romantic draughtsmanship with
very concentrated parallel lines was executed during Naekes stay in
Italy from 1817 until 1825.
Conservation: a small paper loss at the left margin.
Provenance: Collection of Frederic August II of Saxony (Lugt 972)
collectors stamp at the lower right hand corner.
